Because the document is a PDF form it must be downloaded to your computer and then opened in order to be filled out. Click on enable all features if it comes up. When filling out the forms please start at the top and go down. Once information filled in, if the same information is asked for again it will be automatically filled in. When finished filling in the forms please save it using a different name and then print it. This should make completing the forms much easier.

For off-island travel, three letters are also required: from Principal to Insular Superintendent, from Insular Superintendent to Commissioner and from Commissioner to Governor. The letter should include the reason and justification for travel, the students names who are traveling and a space for the letter to be approved. Contact the Division of Sports and Athletics for letter templates.

Coaches' Certification Information

Any individual wanting to coach a VIDE school sports team must be VIDE Sorts Certified in order to be selected as a coach.

VIDE Sports Certified coaches certified before 2018 must complete courses in Concussions and First Aid to maintain their certification.

Anyone interested in becoming coaching certified should go to the nfhslearn.com website and register, pay for the required courses and start working on the courses. You will still have to attend a  coaches certification workshop to complete the process.

Go to the NFHSLearn.com website to find out more information about the online courses. You can register for free  First click on the menu bar where it says courses. When choosing a course choose, click on the photo next to the course name. When ask for which state, choose "outside of the USA"  The price for the course will then show. When paying for the course choose US Virgin Islands as your country.

The required online courses and their fees for coaching certification are:

1. Fundamentals of Coaching                    $35

2. Coaching of the Specific Sport            $35 to $75 depending on the sport

3. First Aid, Health and Safety                 $ 35

4. Concussion in Sports                               Free

Tackle Football Coaches must also complete the online course Blocking, Tackling and Equipment Fitting $10 on the NFHSlearn.com page to be certified.

Specific Sports Skills live clinics will be offered in the future.            Approximately $25
